Renting Process
What kind of property do you want?
Are you between houses and only need a short let? Or perhaps you’re on a short-term rental contract in the area and only need to rent a property for six months? Or maybe you’re looking for something more permanent?
Register your interest
Register your interest and let us know what kind of rental property you’re looking for. We have new properties to rent coming on to the market all the time and we want you to be the first to know.
Browse our properties for rent
Take a look at all of the properties we have to rent in your area. Remember to look at other areas too. You could get a better property if you’re willing to walk a few minutes extra or hop on a bus. See something you like? Book a viewing.
Viewing the property
We’ll arrange a viewing that’s convenient for you and the landlord, and we’ll be at the viewing to answer any questions you may have, such as does the property have its own post box? Who is responsible for the maintenance of the common parts? And how quickly will something be replaced if it breaks e.g. the fridge or washing machine?
Make an offer
Loved the property? Let us know! We’ll ask you to complete an application for tenancy where you’ll supply financial information and give us details of your references. These are people that can recommend you as a good tenant.
Offer agreed
Once the landlord has accepted your offer we’ll collect your references, arrange for you to sign the tenancy agreement and collect your moving-in payment. This is your deposit (normally six weeks’ rent) plus your first month’s rent. We’ll also set up your monthly rental payments by standing order. Your deposit will be safeguarded for the length of tenancy under the Tenancy Deposit Protection Scheme.
Moving in
Once we’ve completed all the paperwork we’ll give you a set of keys and you can move in! Congratulations!
If you have any questions or issues, remember you can always give us a call. We’re here to help.
